  • Day 1: Depart USA En Route

    Depart on your flight to Bangkok.

  • Day 2: Arrive Bangkok Bangkok Novotel Airport

    Clear immigration/customs. Walking transfer to hotel.

  • Day 3: Bangkok / Hanoi Sofitel Metropole

    Morning flight to Hanoi. Transfer to hotel. Free afternoon. Attend a performance of the famous Water Puppet Show. (B)

  • Day 4: Hanoi Sofitel Metropole

    Full day tour of charming Hanoi with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, lakes and temples. Tour Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Fine Ar ts Museum, Lake of the Restored Sword and the Old Quarter. (B)

  • Day 5: Hanoi / Halong Bay Paradise Cruise

    Depart for Haiphong, gateway to Halong Bay, with its incredibly dramatic rock formations. Embark on the five star Paradise Luxury, a traditional wooden junk, for an overnight cruise among the 3,000 lime-stone islands scattered throughout the bay. (B,L,D)

  • Day 6: Halong Bay / Lao Cal Overnight Train

    Disembark your cruise and take a morning cyclo-tour including Du Hang Pagoda. Return to Hanoi and take the LC-5 night train to Lao Cai. (B,L,D)

  • Day 7: Lao Cal / Sapa Victoria Sapa Hotel

    Arrive Lao Cai. Visit Coc Ly tribal market with Hmong and Dzao minority people in their most colorful costumes. Boat trip on the Chay River. Trek to the villages of Dzao and Tay minorities. (B,L,D)

  • Day 8: Sapa Victoria Sapa Hotel

    Visit Ta Van village. See many Hmong, Dzay and Dzao ethnic peoples in traditional dress. Walk through terraced paddy fields to Cat Cat village to discover the lifestyles of these local tribes. (B,L,D)

  • Day 9: Sapa / Hanoi Sofitel Metropole

    Transfer to Lao Cai train station for the day train to Hanoi. Evening arrival and transfer to your hotel. (B,L)

  • Day 10: Hanol / Hue La Residence Hue

    Fly to Hue, Vietnam's old imperial capital. Take a delightful afternoon boat trip on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda. Tour the extensive Imperial Citadel complex and the royal palaces. (B,L)

  • Day 11: Hue / Danang / Hoi An The Nam Hai

    Visit the mausoleums of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. Take Highway One over Hai Van Pass. Fishing village lunch. In Danang see the Cham Sculpture Museum and swim at China Beach. (B,L)

  • Day 12: Hoi An The Nam Hai

    Hoi An is a Cultural Heritage Site. Morning walking tour to a merchant's home, Chinese temple, Covered Bridge and colorful market. Free afternoon to explore the antique shops and art galleries. (B)

  • Day 13: Hoi An / Nha Trang Hotel Ana Mandara

    Fly to the tropical gardens and golden sand beaches of Nha Trang. Visit Po Nagar Cham Towers, Long Son Pagoda and Dam Market. (B,L)

  • Day 14: Nha Trang Hotel Ana Mandara

    Day boat trip to the nearby islands to swim and snorkel. Seafood lunch. (B,L)

  • Day 15: Nha Trang / Saigon Park Hyatt Saigon

    Drive through Vietnam's lush highlands to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) with a lunch stop en route. (B,L)

    See the Presidential Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Thien Hau Pagoda. Tour the Chu Chi Tunnels, an incredible complex of underground tunnels.
