RESERVATIONS & DEPOSITS

A minimum 35% deposit (minimum $1000 per person) of the total program cost is required to confirm services. Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure. A nonrefundable $500 per person fee may be required before a suggested itinerary is prepared and will be credited towards the program cost. Additional deposits may be required, depending on your travel destination. Once a program is confirmed alterations will result in a $250 administrative fee per change.

Rates quoted are accurate at the time of quotation and are subject to change until program is confirmed. All rates are based upon official exchange rates that are guaranteed once programs are paid in full. Air quotes are based on current fares and are subject to change prior to ticketing. Rates are based on confidential tariffs and quoted for a complete program. No price breakdowns will be provided.

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

Destinations & Adventures must receive all cancellations in writing. The per person cancellation charges are:

  • More than 90 days prior to departure: 50% of deposit
  • 89-60 days prior to departure: 50% of tour price
  • 59-30 days prior to departure: 75% of tour price
  • Less than 30 days prior to departure: 100% of tour price

At any time, you will be liable for any non-refundable deposits paid to suppliers on your behalf. Should the effects of the pandemic carry on further than anticipated, interrupting future travel, we will address this situation moving forward, anticipating travel credits. There is no refund for a partially completed tour or for unused services of any kind. TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

TRAVEL PROTECTION

Destinations and Adventures International recommends that you purchase a travel protection plan to help protect you and your travel investment against the unexpected. Travel protection plans can include coverage for Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Emergency Medical and Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, Trip Delay, Baggage Delay and more.

Please Note: To be eligible for the waiver of pre-existing medical condition(s) exclusion, or Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) coverage, most protection plans must be purchased within 14-21 days from the time you make your initial trip deposit. However, the plan can be purchased any time prior to departure. Any team member at Destinations & Adventures will provide recommended travel insurance services.

CREDIT CARDS & CHARGEBACKS

While we do accept major credit cards Visa, MasterCard and American Express, customers must provide a signed charge authorization agreement to confirm the financial transaction. Your authorization is a binding agreement for us to charge your card, and as such, you waive any right to a chargeback in the case of cancellation for any cause (excepting fraud), including a force majeure event, as defined herein, and agree to refund policies and procedures as outlined in these terms and conditions. In the event a client attempts to chargeback, reverse or recollect a trip payment already made without our authorization, we reserve the right to collect all additional costs, fees and expenses associated with such chargeback, reversal or recollection, including, without limitation, attorney fees.

AIRLINES

Destinations & Adventures International has no control over any airline operations and is not responsible for schedule changes, delays or cancellations. Airline delays and any extra expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the airline.

HOTELS, CRUISE SHIPS, SAFARI CAMPS

Destinations & Adventures International or its independent suppliers may find it necessary to make substitutions in the accommodations due to circumstances beyond their control. Normally substitutions are of superior or equal quality. If a substitution of equal or superior quality cannot be made, a refund will be paid for the difference.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

At some of the places you will visit on your tour, optional activities will be available from other independent suppliers who are not affiliated with Destinations & Adventures International. Some of these activities carry with them inherent risks, including that of attack by wild animals, which can cause serious injury. These activities include but are not limited to: (1) walking safaris; (2) horseback/camel safaris; (3) canoeing; (4) ballooning; (5) gorilla trekking; (6) light aircraft flights, (7) diving and snorkeling; (8) desert excursions. You should be aware that, although precautions are taken by the suppliers to guard against such dangers, your safety cannot be guaranteed. Should you elect to participate in such activities while you are on your tour, you are free to do so. However, such participation will be at your own risk. Destinations & Adventures International assumes no responsibility for your safety. Destinations & Adventures International requests common sense and caution be exercised while visiting any of the cities and towns on the tour. The company is in no way responsible for incidents or personal/public interaction occurring between a tour member and anyone you may meet while on tour.

We shall not be deemed to be in breach of these terms and conditions or otherwise be liable to you, and shall not provide any refund, by reason of delay in performance, or by non-performance, of any of our obligations hereunder to the extent that any such delay or non-performance is due to any force majeure. If Destinations & Adventures International, and/or any of our travel suppliers, are affected by force majeure, they shall be entitled to, and may in their sole and absolute discretion, vary or cancel any itinerary or arrangement in relation to your trip.

Destinations & Adventures International is a California-based corporation purchasing transportation, hotel and cruise accommodations, restaurants and other services from various independent suppliers not affiliated with Destinations & Adventures International in any way. Although Destinations & Adventures International chooses the best suppliers available, the company has no right to control their operations and cannot, therefore, be liable for any personal injury of property damage or loss which may occur due to (1) wrongful, negligent or arbitrary acts of omission on the part of a supplier, its employees and others not under the direct control of Destinations & Adventures International, or (2) defects or failures of any aircraft, vessel, automotive vehicle or other equipment under the control of independent suppliers.
